FAQ

What's an escape room?

An escape room is a place where you must solve puzzles, unlock clues, crack codes, and find hidden objects to beat the clock and escape the room! Each room has a different theme, different puzzles, and different challenges. But, they all have one thing in common: You only have 60 minutes to escape! Put your creativity to the test as you work with your team of 2-8 people to solve riddles, gather clues, and complete the puzzle in order to escape before time runs out.

Who are escape rooms for?

Everybody! No, really. Escape rooms are designed to be enjoyed by all ages. From families to groups of friends to corporate teams, everyone will have fun working together and racing against the clock to solve all the clues and escape! Whether it's team building or the coolest date-night idea ever, if you're looking for an exciting form of entertainment, we've got just what you need.

Can we bring our kids?

We typically recommend our rooms for children 10+, however you know your kids best. If you think they'd have fun solving puzzles and clues for an hour, they are more than welcome to come. It is not recommended that you bring your toddlers or infants since the games are not designed for children their age.

An adult must be present to sign the waivers before we can start the game. Additionally, we require an adult to be in the room with anyone 14 and under.

**Children under 8 will not be allowed in Floor 13 due to the nature of the game. Unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions even if you feel like your child is scary enough to belong in Floor 13.

Is it scary or claustrophobic?

Not at all. Our escape rooms are not intended nor designed to be creepy, frightening, or scary (except Floor 13). We make sure our rooms are appropriate for all ages, from children (ages 10 and up) to adults, so that everyone can enjoy them. You will have to solve puzzles and clues, but at no point will you be intentionally made uncomfortable or frightened. The rooms are normal-sized rooms, so you won't feel crowded especially once you get into the game.

**Except Floor 13, which is a little spooky and not recommended for claustrophobes. See our Floor 13 page for more info.

Am I really going to be locked in a room?

Yes, that’s part of the game. But, if you ever need to leave, there is an exit button in each of the rooms that will automatically unlock the door if you push it, and you can simply walk out of the room.

Are escape rooms new?

Actually...no! Escape rooms have been wildly popular in other parts of the world including Europe, Australia, and Asia. However, they have only recently become popular in the United States, exploding in popularity in the Northeast, on the West Coast, and in large cities throughout the South. There are currently more than 500 escape rooms in the United States with over 13.4 million players each year!

What happens if my team doesn't make it out in time?

You'll still have one of the most fun hours of your life! By the nature of the challenge, not all teams will escape the room before the clock runs out. Our escape rooms are designed to be fun and challenging for the whole hour, so rest assured, you'll have a great time!

Will I be with people I don't know?

It depends. Our rooms hold up to eight people. If you bring a group to fill the room, you will have the room to yourselves. However, if there are still available slots and someone requests them, you will all be working together to complete your room.

**Due to Covid-19, we have decided to make all games private at no additional charge. You will have the room to yourself by default.

Is it physically challenging?

Nope. Our rooms are great for all body types and levels of fitness. The rooms will challenge your mind and your creativity, but rarely your physicality.

Are the rooms handicap accessible?

Everything in our building (except Floor 13) is handicap accessible. We do our very best to design with everyone in mind whenever we can; however, Floor 13 contains a small, old-timey elevator that may not offer enough space. Additionally, the final moments of Heist might not be 100% accessible to everyone, but there is a work around for that one. All of our other rooms are well-suited for everyone!

Do you take walk-ins or should we schedule in advance?

We typically don't take walk-ins. Due to the nature of the game, we have a limited amount of time to run each game. In order for us to give you the best experience, we need to set up in advance. The best way to secure your spot is to book via our website no less than 6 hours in advance. Or, if you have any questions or have a large group, you can call us. We'll be happy to help!

What time should we arrive?

You should be at the location no less than 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled time. This way, we can make sure you get started and don't miss out on valuable time.

What if we are late?

If you are running a couple of minutes late, we may be able to accommodate you if you let us know in advance. If you show up late and it would impact our ability to run another game after yours, we reserve the right to cancel your game. Your timer starts no later than 10 minutes after your scheduled start time, so try to be early so you don't miss your time.
